2007 I-Town F1 Pool

Hey guys, what's up? Hope you've been following winter testing cuz it's gonna be a good year. As usual there have been some changes to the sporting regulations, there was a little bitching last year too, so we're going to revise the system. We have a couple of options, so I thought I would list some ideas.

I do not believe we are going to be able to enact the tier system this year, at least not straight out of the gate. Super Aguri is running a modified 06 Honda chassis with a Honda engine, and STR is running the same chassis as Red Bull with a Ferrari engine so who knows where they'll be. We can reinstate some tiers if definite divisions in competitiveness appear this year as well.

Luke has mentioned that he thinks it would be more appropriate to awards the manufacterer points to the team that recieves the most points, instead of simply the manufacturer of the winning car.

My personal suggestion would also be to expand the number of positions that we choose to either 5 or 8 and we could use the same points systems as awarded to the drivers. I would like the keep the fastest lap choice, however I'm not so sure what to do about the pit stops. We can just do away with it, or keep it, or change it to something to do with the tires. Another new regulation this year is the mandated use of a second tire spec for a single stint during dry races. A pick of the stint when the 'option' tire is used could replace the pit stop choice, or we could just add it on.

The first race starts this saturday at about midnight so I was hoping the get the regulations set by the night before. If you guys have any input I'd love to hear it, we just have to hurry.

Cool, i like the 1-8 too, and the manufacturere change, I'd like to do something with tires if anyone has any ideas. As for luke, I think he should definitely start with -10 points, unless he makes it up by attending a race in Europe
